En route pour le Tour de France 2012!

Posted by Amélie, on 30 June 2012. Comments: 0

The Euro 2012 is not yet over that another great sporting event is starting: the Tour de France set off today June 30th. The riders departed earlier this afternoon for a 3,497 kilometre race around France. The Tour officially started from the Belgian town of Liège with the Prologue stage, the first time-trial stage of the 99th Tour, which will consist of 20 stages in total, across mountains and flat land, to culminate after a final 120 km stage on Paris's Champs-Elysées, on July 22nd - leaving us just enough time to recover before the start of the Summer Olympics!

To complete your Tour de France experience, we have put together a small selection of our favourite books on the Tour and on cycling: novels, history and factual. Now all you have left to do is sit back and enjoy the Tour!

There is also still time to have a look at our selection of football and Olympics related titles...!
