The modular structure consists of 7 units each divided into 3 connected yet autonomous lessons: the first introduces the content of the unit via an episode of the video series that follows the events of an English student in Italy; the second develops the learning pathway through new audio inputs, while the third focuses on the use of written texts.

In each lesson the exploration of the texts is accompanied by: activities for comprehension and which focus on linguistic functions and vocabulary, including intercomprehension between the target language and the students' own mother tongue; inductive and graded reflections on linguistic structures; fun and motivating activities to consolidate all aspects of the language; observation of pragmatic and prosodic elements of communication; (inter) cultural notes; and stimuli for oral and written production and authentic group tasks.

Each unit also includes:
- a project with group activities for the creative reuse of content;
- Learning Tools, a useful summary of the topics presented in each unit (functional, lexical and grammatical);
- a rich section of exercises for the consolidation, revision (or expansion) of what has been learned;
- an end-of-unit test and a mind map to help students remember and reorganize the content in a personalized way.

A grammar summary concludes the book, while the student can practise independently thanks to the extra exercises on the Volentieri! App.
