Assimil French

Assimil French

Assimil French

For more than 60 years, Assimil has been a leader in language learning materials based on a simple principle of intuitive assimilation, or natural learning. The method comprises two phases: a passive phase, where the student simply listens and reads and repeats for the first few weeks; and the active phase where the student begins to communicate spontaneously using the naturally acquired language from the first phase. The method is simple, gimmick-free and has already helped millions to learn a foreign language. For level 1 the multi-media pack contains 1 coursebook and either 3 audio-cassettes or 3 compact discs, with a total running time of over two and a quarter hours. Level 2, "Using French" is available in audio-cassette format only, with 4 cassettes providing 3 hours of material.
