"Netzwerk" is a 3 level course for adult beginners which quickly teaches students the language needed to communicate successfully in German using the communicative tools students are familiar with in their native language. The integration of new media is fundamental to the course with many of the topics, texts, tasks and even the layout relating to the digital world. The exercises are student-centred and varied and each chapter has an overview of communicative learning goals and grammatical structures to make students aware of the learning process. The grammar is user-friendly and relevant for communicative tasks in the various chapters. After every three chapters there is a "Plattformkapitel" with revision exercises, games, cultural information and literary texts. The DVD contains film clips for each chapter of the book with a page of dedicated DVD exercises. In addition, students can interact with the film character on Facebook. The digital teachers' pack is an extensive and extremely useful tool containing the complete coursebook, workbook, all the audio files, teachers' manual, photocopy templates, answer keys, transcripts and a worksheet generator for teachers to create additional exercises.
Klett Augmented is available for "Netzwerk". With the Klett Augmented App audio files, videos or links can be scanned, played or saved on a smartphone or tablet.
Klett Augmented is available for free in the App Store (iOS) and the Google Play Store (Android). Download and install the app for free. Once the app is installed on a smartphone or tablet, choose your Klett book. Open the book on a page containing symbols for audio and/or video files. Hold your smartphone or tablet over the page of the book and the app recognises automatically stored files and starts scanning them. The media files can now be loaded, played or saved.
